Five Lakes Hotel, Golf, Country Club & Spa is nestled within 320 acres of Essex countryside. Situated in Tolleshunt Knights, between Chelmsford and just south of the Roman town of Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town; we are only a short drive from the A12 and the M25 with its motorway links.

There is a regular train service from nearby Kelvedon, Witham or Colchester into London's Liverpool St. Station, which takes approximately 50 minutes.

Three major airports are within an hour and a half drive of the hotel - London City, London Stansted and London Gatwick. Taxi's can be ordered on request and executive cars and seven-seaters are also available by prior arrangement.

>From London - M25 & A12

Exit at junction 28, signposted Brentwood/Romford/Chelmsford. Take the A12 in the direction of Chelmsford. Travel for approximately 20 minutes on the A12. After the first Five Lakes brown tourist board sign continue past a garage and take the Kelvedon exit, B1024. Pass through Kelvedon into Feering and look for brown tourist board signs for Five Lakes and Jam Factory. Turn right at the Old Anchor Public House, towards Tiptree on the B1023. When you reach Tiptree go across the staggered crossroads with the Vauxhall Garage on your left into Church Road. * Continue through the village past Wilkins Jam Factory on your right, and down the hill, take the next left at the mini roundabout signposted Salcott. Follow the road for about 2 miles until you come to a crossroads. At this crossroads turn right towards Tolleshunt D'Arcy and Five Lakes is approximately 500 yards on your right. There is free parking for 500 cars in the hotel grounds.

Alternative Route

Follow directions as above. When you see the first brown tourist board sign for Five Lakes, exit the A12 at The Fox Public House, signposted Gt.Braxted. Follow the road to the 'T' junction and turn right, following the brown tourist board signs. After about 5 minutes, as the end of this road, turn left, signposted Colchester, towards Tiptree. Look for a right hand turn into Station Lane at the New Times Public House, signposted Tolleshunt D'Arcy. Follow this road to the end and turn right into Church Road towards the Jam Factory and Salcott. The follow directions from * above.

>From the East - A14

Take the A14 from Ipswich westbound then take the A12 London bound until Kelvedon. Exit at Feering/Kelvedon. Follow the road through Feering towards Kelvedon and turn left at the Old Anchor public House, following the signs to Tiptree on the B1023. Then follow the directions from London, M25 & A12 from * above.
