Large event in London

The Lift Awards held last week at the Hilton Park Lane in London was a great success. Over 600 people attended this well thought out and sophisticated event, organised by Morris Conferencing.

The audio, visual and stage requirements were built and produced by MCL, a professional AV company that work closely with Morris Conferencing.

Morris Conferencing also sponsored one of the prizes in the charity raffle - a nights accommodation at the luxurious Hotel and Country Club - The Grove, located in Hertfordshire.

Morris are not new to these large events, last year they organised one of the largest events in London for 1200 delegates, spanning for two weeks! They offer a professional and personalised service which shows at their events.

In conference venues all over the UK staff are putting back large scale UK road maps to help their delegates find their way home or the quickest way to continue their journey, It is easier to show people on a large scale map than squinting  at screens said a hotel porter recently. Bigger is better and with the new laminates around you can keep them nicely framed and very clean

Outstanding IT training centre opens in London

In the meantime, for your information, we have created a new conference centre on our top floor.  One of it’s unique selling points is that is has technical training rooms with up to 20 PCs per room.  Most conference centres will only offer up to 16!  The space was literally opened last week and so very new on the venue market!

All the rooms on the top floor have floor to ceiling windows creating a great environment to work in.  There are 2 chill out/refreshment areas as well as quiet areas for breakout sessions with wifi throughout.

Each room is fitted with brand new LCD projectors and pull down screens.  As with our 1st floor facilities, technical support is included throughout the day.

Morris Conferencing opens offices in Sheffield

This well known large conference agency has taken a suite of offices a 59-61 Wostenholm Road, Nether Edge. It will be headed up by a Sheffield resident Duncan Shaw and initially have a team of 4 staff.Mr Shaw commented that we have been waiting for the right location to become available in this thriving City and we are delighted with the new address.

Morris Conferencing also has offices in Warwickshire but wants expand in Sheffield.

Michael Morris the MD says “ with the excellent University courses on Event Management, Travel and Tourism being taught here  it gives us a larger Talent Pool to choose our staff from and everyone is so helpful and friendly in this City so we will expand our workforce here over the next ten year.
