Glasgow is performing well in the conference and events industry, as more than 2,400 new hotel rooms are planned in Glasgow over the next four years, according to the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB).

They are starting a new campaign to highlight the various different types of venues, as new flight routes open up. Before 2001 2,400 rooms will be built, including 600 in the new Bothwell Plaza Complex, next to a conference centre that can hold up to 1,400 delegates.
