In the meantime, for your information, we have created a new conference centre on our top floor.  One of it’s unique selling points is that is has technical training rooms with up to 20 PCs per room.  Most conference centres will only offer up to 16!  The space was literally opened last week and so very new on the venue market!

All the rooms on the top floor have floor to ceiling windows creating a great environment to work in.  There are 2 chill out/refreshment areas as well as quiet areas for breakout sessions with wifi throughout.

Each room is fitted with brand new LCD projectors and pull down screens.  As with our 1^st floor facilities, technical support is included throughout the day.

Conference Centres often have great selling point such as advanced equipment, dedicated and experienced staff, great locations – both in cities and countryside, bedrooms for residential conferences and grounds for team building activities. They also have great rates that rival most hotels and are willing to be flexible to win the business.

 West One, London 

This building was actually home to the Arts Council for half a century. They have invested lots of thought into creating a dedicated meeting, training and conference centre in the heart of the West End in London. All rooms have natural daylight, accommodation and excellent facilities.

They have refurbished five floors of the building, to create rooms that range in size and can take up to 250 delegates. 3 rooms are computer based, with free wifi in every meeting room and LCD projectors also in all rooms.

 Lane End Conference Centre 

Lane end is a purpose built conference facility within 26 acres of land – perfect for team building. It is less than an hour from London, with quick and easy access from the M4, M40 and M25. It is also very close to Heathrow Airport.

It has three buildings all with air-conditioned rooms, lots of syndicates, lounge, bar, bedrooms and recreation areas. There are 7 lecture rooms, 27 syndicates and 104 bedrooms for residential conferences.

There are lots of leisure facilities including golf, tennis, gym, sauna, steam room, snooker, pool, table tennis, darts, football, croquet and petanque, so why not mix a little business with pleasure!

The experiences we have had with this venue is the staff are dedicated and will go out of their way to make the conference perfect. We have great contacts with the venue and we can negotiate the best rates.

The Beeches, Birmingham 

This conference centre is part of the Chartridge group, who have conference centres in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire.

The Beeches is actually located the leafy suburbs of Bourneville, but only 15 minutes from the centre of Birmingham. It has bedrooms and great meeting facilities, making it great for residential conferences. All conference centres in the Chartridge Group offer good rates directly; however Morris Conferencing can negotiate to match your budget.

Staff Parties  If you are planning a Xmas party, you should be aware of tax issues. Reasonable levels of employee entertainment are an allowable cost against the profits of the business, unlike entertaining clients. As long as the annual cost is no more than £150 per person for entertainment functions, there should be no tax implications with the employees. Employers must consider all costs, which may not just be the meal, but drinks, transport etc… For those who are leaving organising their Xmas party, like some of us do with buying Christmas presents, enquire now as space is still available at venues across the UK!
