Southampton is a City with a wealth of character and heritage; it's rich and colourful history preserved in a host of fascinating remains, monuments and buildings. Many of the Old Town walls and fortifications remain intact and feature the Bargate, the impressive north entrance to the medieval town.

The Southampton Park Hotel has a friendly welcome with a relaxed brasserie style restaurant & bar, luxurious indoor Leisure Club, spacious lounges, 3 well-equipped conference suites and 72 individual and comfortable bedrooms.

Mayflower Park, named after the historic sailing from Southampton to America by the Pilgrim Fathers in 1620, is nearby. This is where the famous Southampton International Boat Show takes place each year.

A host of festivals, celebrations and activities throughout the year also include The Southampton International Boat Show, Hot Air Balloon and Flower Festival, Live Music Festival (Power in the Park), The Volvo Round the World Yacht Race and BT Global Challenge.

An excellent geographical situation makes the Southampton Park Hotel the ideal conference and meeting place. The three main rooms are the Bargate Suite, complete with wooden interior sprung dance floor and adjoining bar - suitable for 150 guests, Mr.C's function suite and bar - suitable for up to 75 guests and the Hamtun Room for smaller informal meetings and interviews. The following equipment is provided free in both meeting rooms: - Notepads & pencils, projection screen, flip chart, overhead projector, VHS video & monitor, water & squash. Additionally the Bargate suite has a PA system and portable staging. Further audio-visual equipment can be hired on a daily basis by prior arrangement.

A good central venue for social gatherings up to 150, the Southampton Park Hotel offers an enormous range of delicious and interesting dishes for banqueting and buffets. Our premier suite is beautifully furnished and ideal for large events. We have expert and friendly staff that will ensure your function is enjoyable and successful and for those attending weekend functions, we offer reduced rates for overnight accommodation.

Southampton Park Hotel has its own informal brasserie-style eating venue; open all day for full meals, a light snack or just a cup of coffee.

Decorated to a high standard with every executive need, all bedrooms have direct-dial telephone, remote control colour television with 5 terrestrial and 4 satellite channels, clock radio alarm, hair dryer, trouser press and tea & coffee making facilities.

All en-suite bathrooms are complete with bubble bath, shampoo, tissues and even a family of Forestdale Ducks!

The hotel offers a Computer Resource Room that is available for all guests to use. The equipment consists of a MS Windows 98 PC system with MS Office 2000 software, fax from screen & fax reception, laser printer and ISDN Internet access. In addition there are spare power points as well as ISDN, UK & US style modem points for your own laptop. A modest charge will be made for the use of the room to include all call charges and Internet time.

A luxurious Leisure Club free to all residents. The facilities include: - Fine indoor pool with jet stream, Spa pool, Saunas & steam rooms in changing rooms, Fully equipped gymnasium with qualified staff on hand and Sun beds.

The has no car park of its own and the area at the front of the hotel is for 'set-down' and 'pick-up' only. Grosvenor Square multi-storey car park is behind the hotel and is operated by the City Council and the hotel will reimburse one ticket per room per 24 hours upon production of a valid receipt.
