This luxurious four star deluxe property stands proudly on the banks of the River Irwell. With its mellowed brickwork and exposed beams, this listed building creates a country house atmosphere in the city centre. The modern furnishings and the d?cor of the 156 well appointed bedrooms are subtly themed with reference to the many successful Granada Television productions. The hotel boasts two restaurants, the modern contemporary Sherlock Holmes which offers a luxury dining experience with a light, fresh, natural approach to food, decor and service and the Cafe Maigret, French brasserie offering a relaxed informal atmosphere with an array of continental dishes to choose from. Venue location:
The hotel is conveniently situated on the outskirts of Manchester's lively
city centre amidst a host of entertainment possibilities. All bedrooms are
imaginatively themed around television, with the building itself displaying
characteristics from the days when it was a warehouse on the banks of the River
Irwell. >From Scotland: Follow routes for Carlisle to join the M6. Turn off at Junction 30 signposted
the M61. Continue on the M61 following signs for M60 and Liverpool M62. Continue
down M60 for approximately three miles, following signs for M602 Salford and
Manchester. At the end of the M602, take the right-hand lane signposted A57
Manchester. Continue down the A57 for one mile until you see the large Grosvenor
Casino on your right. At the lights after the casino, turn left then immediately
right at the lights, taking the City Centre sign written in the white box. Le
Meridien Victoria & Albert hotel is approximately 1/3 mile down on the left
of Water Street. >From the North-east: Follow M1 south, picking up M62 at Junction 42, heading west. Continue down
M62 to Junction 12 signposted M602 Salford and Manchester. At the end of the
M602, take the right-hand lane signposted A57 Manchester. Continue down the A57
for one mile until you see the large Grosvenor Casino on your right. At the
lights after the casino, turn left then immediately right at the lights, taking
the City Centre sign written in the white box. Le Meridien Victoria & Albert
hotel is approximately 1/3 mile down on the left of Water Street. >From North Wales: Follow route to Chester, picking up M56 for Manchester. Follow M56, following
signs for Manchester until you pick up the A5103. Travel along the A5103 for
approximately six miles until you reach the first roundabout, at which point
take the first exit signposted A57(M). When on the A57(M), move over to the
right-hand lane. After = mile, you will come to a set of traffic lights, at
which point turn right then immediately right again at the City Centre sign. Le
Meridien Victoria & Albert hotel is approximately 1/3 mile down on the left
of Water Street. London and The South: Join the M25 orbital and head north on the M1. Follow M1 to Junction 19. Take
signposted route M6 Birmingham where you may take one of the two following
options. Alternatively, you can avoid Birmingham by continuing on the M1 to
Junction 23a, where you can take the A50 to Stoke-on-Trent, joining the M6 North
at Junction 15 and continuing north until you reach either one of the following
options: Option 1 - continue on M6 North to Junction 19. At Junction 19 take the A556
through to the M56. Follow M56, following signs for Manchester until you pick up
the A5103. Travel along the A5103 for approximately six miles until you reach
the first roundabout, at which point take the first exit signposted A57(M). When
on the A57(M), move over to the right-hand lane and after = mile you will come
to a set of traffic lights, at which point turn right then immediately right
again at the City Centre sign. Le Meridien Victoria & Albert hotel is
approximately 1/3 mile down on the left of Water Street Option 2 - continue on M6 to Junction 21a signposted M62. Follow M62 for
Manchester and Liverpool. Stay on M62, following signs for Manchester and M602.
At the end of the M602, take the right-hand lane signposted A57 Manchester.
Continue down the A57 for one mile until you see the large Grosvenor Casino. At
the lights after the casino, turn left then immediately right at the lights,
taking the City Centre sign written in the white box. Le Meridien Victoria &
Albert hotel is approximately 1/3 mile down on the left of Water Street. Car parking charged at #10.00 per car per night for 2003.

The John Logie Baird suite is a modern purpose built conference venue which
can be split into four sound proofed venues with conveniently located syndicate
rooms. The Baskerville room, overlooking the river can accommodate up to 66
