One of the largest hotels in the region with 649 bedrooms and 28 conference and meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 700 guests and delegates, including the Renaissance Suite. This means the hotel can host almost any size of function or event. The York Conference Theatre seats 262, high technology with a 35ft wide panoramic screen and individual TV monitors for delegates. There are an additional four large suites, including the Wessex Ballroom, which are suitable for exhibitions, product launches, banquets and conferences. The versatile Ballroom has its own outside entrance and the rear doors can admit large sets and props, industrial plant and cars. The spacious Wessex Lobby area is ideal for pre-dinner receptions and delegate registration. The other 22 rooms have all been refurbished in 2001, and all feature natural daylight and are suitable for almost any type of small meeting, such as training, product briefings and off-site management meetings. The award winning conference and meeting facilities offer friendly and efficient service. All these facilities are fully supported by professional audiovisual, conference services and Business Centre teams. The Business Centre services include desktop publishing, printing, binding, laminating, photocopying and Internet access. Venue location:

The hotel is ideally located close to Heathrow Airport, with connections by road, rail and air to all parts of England and Internationally. The airport is a short bus ride away, with access on the Heathrow Express to central London taking just 15 minutes. There are 700 parking spaces and the M4, M25 and M3 motorways are 10 minutes away. Exit M25 at Junction 15 onto the M4. Then exit M4 at Junction 4 and follow signs for Heathrow Airport.

Wessex Ballroom:
The Wessex Ballroom is the ideal room for exhibitions, banquets, dinner dances, themed events, meetings and wedding receptions. Recently refurbished, it boasts 16 enhanced chandeliers, 99 decorative downlighters and a new suspended ceiling grid with acoustic ceiling tiles. Total redecoration using vinyl wallpaper and dark stained American walnut panelling. New underlay and carpet has also been laid. Access is available from the ballroom’s own car park which is ideal for loading and off loading equipment, including machinery and cars. The ballroom has it’s own lobby which is ideal for pre-event reception drinks. There are no pillars in the ballroom and it has it’s own toilets for your convenience.
