About Charingworth Manor:
(ref: SV452)
Venue description:
Charingworth Manor lies in the beautiful gently rolling, Cotswold
Countryside. Set in lovely 'gardens' and overlooking its own estate of 54 acres,
guests can enjoy peace, tranquillity and breathtaking views. The present building dates back to the early 14th century and beams showing
the original medieval decoration can still be clearly seen. Guests can again
enjoy gracious country living at its best. The sitting room with its mullion windows, has an oak beam ceiling patterned
with chevrons painted at the time the Manor was held by Edward Burnel, about
1316. The sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere of the charming 'John Greville' room
provides a suitable setting in which to enjoy award winning food and a fine list
of wines. The bedrooms and suites are individually decorated and feature antique
furniture and fine fabrics. Each room has a character of its own and offers
every facility including hair dryer, trouser press, Satellite TV and room safe. The Courtyard and Cottage bedrooms have been created from the original
stables and farm buildings, all furnished and fitted to the highest standard of
luxury.
