Venue description:

An impressive 19th Century country mansion sitting in 262 acres of Cheshire countryside. The hotel sits high above the estate on the edge of the Peak District National Park, and has exceptional views. It is almost impossible to imagine that this peaceful hotel is within easy access of major cities such as Manchester and Sheffield, and the M1 and M62 motorways. Historically a private family house, Shrigley Hall opened as a hotel in 1989 and was carefully restored to its original beauty. It also has an excellent 18-hole championship golf course and outstanding health and leisure facilities.

Venue location:

12 miles from Manchester Airport, 7 miles from Macclesfield, 22 miles from Manchester.

>From the M56: Exit at Junction 6 onto the A538 to Wilmslow. From Wilmslow centre take the left turn for Stockport (A538). At the next traffic lights turn right past Wilmslow Station, follow this road to a small roundabout and turn left. At the next roundabout turn right for Macclesfield and at the next roundabout turn right to Adlington. After the garage on your left take the left turn sign-posted Adlington Hall (Mill Lane), pass Adlington Hall and at the main road junction go straight ahead past the Legh Arms heading for Pott Shrigley. The hotel is approximately 2 miles on the left.

>From M62: Leave at Junction 12 signposted Poynton onto the M60. Exit at Junction 3 onto the A34. Take the A555 to Poynton, then take the A5149 to the A523 towards Macclesfield. Turn left at the Legh Arms to Pott Shrigley. The hotel is approximately 2 miles on the left.

>From the M6 South: Leave the M6 at Junction 17 and head towards Congelton on the A534, then take the A536 to Macclesfield. Leave Macclesfield on the A523 following signs to Stockport. At the traffic lights near the Legh Arms, turn right to Pott Shrigley. The hotel entrance is approximately 2 miles on the left.

Conference facilities:

There are 9 meeting, conference and banqueting rooms available for a variety of functions up to 250 delegates. Shrigley Hall benefits from excellent leisure facilities and a golf course to keep delegates occupied, and has excellent access to major towns and cities.

The Tilden Suite

The suite is located in the original church that was built in 1926 by the monks for their own worship. The Tilden Suite has a beautiful dome roof, dramatic stone mantels and stained glass windows. A venue with a difference offering over 470 square metres of space, the suite has its own bar, reception area and dance floor. The room is totally versatile for all types of banquets, conferences and weddings.

The William Turner and Brabazon Suites

Beautiful traditionally decorated rooms seating up to 150 guests in theatre style.

The Cheshire and Stafford Suites

These two rooms are ideal for meetings and training events. With modern equipment and lavish decoration, these suites offer comfort and style.

Smaller Meetings: A number of high quality rooms for smaller meetings, The Upper and Lower Moorland, The Boardroom, The Devonshire, the Fairway and the new Woodford Suite. Accommodating between 30 and 90 delegates.
