Dating back to 1864, this magnificent 5 star hotel has earned a reputation for well-appointed accommodation, excellent cuisine and a superb Leisure Club.
The majestic building has been designed in elaborate Italian Renaissance style with intricate balconies and gleaming white fagade. The hotel features a magnificent reception area with marble pillars and a sweeping staircase. The 200 bedrooms comprise 8 single rooms, 192 double rooms,including 112 twinable rooms, 41 deluxe double rooms, and up to 16 suites. All rooms have remote control radio and colour TV with pay movies, guest information and playstation games, direct dial telephone, hospitality tray, iron + ironing board trouserpress, hairdryer, minibar and have voice mail and modem compatability. The King's Restaurant offers superb traditional and international cuisine, complemented by an extensive range of fine wines. The Victoria Lounge and Bar offers light refreshment throughout the day and a selection of cocktails and champagnes. Guests can enjoy The De Vere Leisure Club featuring a 12 metre heated indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sunshower, Tropicarium, European Spa style sauna and aromasteam room, fitness gym and the Tranquility Health and Beauty suite and hair salon. The Grand also has it's very own nightclub 'Midnight Blues'. The 'Empress Suite', was completed in October 1992, and offers clients the ultimate in a production Suite. Accommodating up to 1000 guests, the Empress Suite divides into 4 sound-proofed air-conditioned rooms.

From London A23/A27 towards Worthing, A27 junction signposted Hove at top of slip road take second left Dyke Rd. Then after approx 1.2 miles turn left into Drove Way then left into Shirley Drive, down to seafront. At seafront turn left, stay in nearside lane for 3/4 mile Grand on left. The De Vere Grand commands centre stage on Brighton's seafront, overlooking the English Channel and easily accessible by road, rail and air with Heathrow Airport only 1 1/2 hours away and Gatwick closer still, just 30 minutes. Regular train services run right to the heart of London into Victoria Station and the M23 motorway provides a direct route to the capital.
