Region:
Yorkshire
City:
Follifoot
Description:
The 300 acre Rudding Park Estate is situated just 2 miles south of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, yet just a short drive from the cosmopolitan cities of Leeds and York. Over the last three decades the Mackaness family has carefully restored the Estate until it now has become Yorkshire's leading hotel, golf and conference resort.
Overlooking the parkland golf course, the Regency period House offers self-contained conference and banqueting facilities for all sizes of meetings and events. All fifteen of the rooms maintain their original elegance that is enhanced by the natural daylight flooding through the large windows.
From a meeting for 8 to a banquet for 250, our flexible rooms can be configured to suit most types of event. Our largest room, the Radcliffe Room, is not only a stunning venue for a special occasion but its extra large entrance doors and concrete floor area allow heavy loads to be exhibited in the room. The first floor Crosby Suite can be used as one large room or alternatively be divided into three separate sections, one of which has its own built in bar.
Our Chefs have created extensive menus from which our guests may choose - from canapes to a gourmet meal, the choice is theirs.
On occasion, a marquee is erected on the lawns to host larger events - from weddings to fashion launches, we can cater for up to 800 people in one of these temporary structures.
The size and location of the Estate lends itself perfectly to corporate activities - from dune buggies to archery, from falconry to team games most types of activity can be arranged. Also on the estate, Landrover have designed an off road-driving course to incorporate a disused, long tunnel - a challenge not for the faint hearted.
Rudding Park's 18 hole, par 72, mature parkland golf course is also available for use by all the guests. The course, which was designed by Martin Hawtree, has won several awards for its environmental awareness and recently played host to the PGA Mastercard Tour series.
By comparison to the House, the adjoining Hotel is relatively new. The Hotel, which opened in 1997, was designed to complement the original architecture of the House, whilst the interior design is more contemporary - bold colours in the public areas blend with the cherry wood and paler colours of the bedrooms. Rudding Park's Clocktower Bar & Restaurant, with its imaginative cooking style, is a local favourite.
All guests staying at Rudding Park have complimentary use of the nearby Academy Gym and Health Spa, with its 4,000 square foot gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. For an extra charge guests may partake in a myriad of health and beauty treatments, as well as the indoor and outdoor tennis courts.
