The present building has undergone many changes over the years being transformed from an estate manager's house, part of which dates from 1570, into a first class friendly hotel whilst retaining much of it's history and association with the Kinmel Estate. The reception area provides a warm welcome featuring a beautiful Oak fireplace which dates from around 1600, bearing a very apt motto 'when friends meet hearts warm' The fine restaurant with it's magnificent fireplace depicting the coats of arms of the various Royal Tribes of Wales from which the original owners claim descent, serves both Table D'hote and A la Carte lunches and dinners. The menus are extensive and varied using fresh foo The hotel has 42 bedrooms all en suite. Each bedroom has colour TV in house films, radio, direct dial telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, trouser press, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Indoor heated swimming pool, sauna steam room, spa bath and solarium provide relaxation for business executives and tourists alike. For the keep-fit enthusiast, the hotel gymnasium is equipped with Exercise Bike Abdominal board, High Dual Low Pulley, Lat or Seated High Pulley, Thigh Curl Dual Leg extension, Standing Squat Dual Calf Raise, Pec Dec and Bench Press Dual Shoulder Press. With Llandudno and it's Victorian Promenade to the West and Chester with it's Roman walls to the East you are sure to find the history and culture of either town adding that special touch to your days shopping and sight seeing.
