Set in private carefully landscaped grounds, the hotel could easily be mistaken for a large Georgian Mansion, yet is a hotel for today. The 4 star Thistle Haydock Hotel is the ideal location for conferences, private dinners, business meetings, and interviews or simply as a luxury retreat for the weekend.

The hotel is located midway between Liverpool and Manchester and is only minutes away from the M6 and M62 motorways and provides excellent business facilities without the convenience of travelling to a city centre hotel.

The hotel has 17 meeting rooms, accommodating from 2 delegates to presentations for 300 delegates. The main air-conditioned suite can be used for large theatre style presentations or banquets for up to 180 guests with its own private bar facility. The Birkdale and Hoylake rooms have been refurbished to meet the new Thistle Hotels 'Meeting Plan' specifications. These boast full air-conditioning, 'Hidden' electronic controlled screens and LCD projector, ample power points, blackout facility, natural light and luxury '8-hour' seating.

The hotel has 8 syndicate rooms that can be used for one to one meetings or for breakouts for up to 10 delegates. A further 4 meeting rooms are also available for meetings for 2 to 40 delegates. The hotel also offers extensive business facilities in the business centre with up to date IT equipment to aid the modern day conference.

During the summer months the hotel also boasts a large framed Marquee with heating and chandelier lighting located in the large central courtyard for conferences and dinners for up to 200 guests.

The lounge bar is open throughout the day for hot and cold drinks, along with a selection of light meals and snacks to be enjoyed in the large lounge or conservatory.

There are 138 luxuriously appointed bedrooms comprising of doubles, twins, Studio rooms and Suites. All rooms are en-suite and have ISDN lines, direct dial-telephone, colour television with SKY channels, trouser press, hairdryers, tea/coffee making facilities and offering a 24-hour room service menu.

The hotel restaurant is elegantly decorated and offers a range of dishes to suit all tastes. Alternatively there is an oak-paneled private dining area for small business lunches or dinners.

The hotel is located naer the many famous attractions such as Granada Studios, Beatles Story, Albert Docks in near by Manchester and Liverpool or shopping at the Trafford Centre or Cheshiore Oaks.

Directions:
Exit M6 at Junction 23. Follow signs towards Haydock Park Race Course. Around island and off onto A49 towards Ashton in Makerfield. Once on A49, take 1st left turn off on A599 towards Haydock and drive under the bridge. After the bridge take 1st left turning into Hotel entrance.

From A580 (East Lancs Road) at the island follow as above.
